As a member of CoAct (formerly Job Futures), and with its strong connections and relationships with employers and range of job ready programs, SSI will support job seekers to become work ready and employable, as well as assisting them to find and maintain a job.

SSI will also work with employers to promote workforce participation and ensure they are receiving job seekers who meet their business needs, through candidate screening, wage subsidies and work preparation training and equipment.

SSI CEO Violet Roumeliotis said that through the provision of employment services, SSI would be able to achieve greater service integration and to meet its clients’ needs and those of the wider community.

“Finding employment for vulnerable people is a life changing experience, not only for the individual but their partners and children. SSI is proud to offer another service that changes lives for the better.”

As well as serving the mainstream community, SSI will also offer services to culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities with the support of bilingual staff.

SSI jobactive is based at 308 Beamish Street Campsie, and can be accessed by people living in the following suburbs: Ashfield, Barden Ridge, Burwood, Bexley, Campsie, Caringbah, Chifley, Daceyville, Darlinghurst, Heathcote, Hurstville, Illawong, Kingsford, Kingsgrove.
