About MYQ
Young people deserve a say in the decisions that affect their lives and shape their communities. Multicultural Youth Queensland (MYQ) helps to empower young people from culturally diverse backgrounds to influence government policy and programs and to create better outcomes for themselves and their peers.
MYQ is the Queensland arm of MYAN Australia the national youth peak for young people from migrant and refugee backgrounds. Its goals include strengthening youth leadership, providing platforms of youth led decision making and influence the policy impacting young people.
How we help
Through youth-led advocacy programs, we provide policy and program advice to decision-makers to improve life for multicultural young people
We provide training, advice and other resources to support and build the youth sector
We provide young people with training in leadership, project management, public speaking, teamwork, and more
