Fill the Gap is an SSI program that empowers women to enter male-dominated trade industries through connecting them with training, networks and employment opportunities.
Build a career and thrive as a woman in trades
Women across the globe are stepping into the world of trades and building lifelong careers in industries once considered male-dominated.
Are you ready for a career with endless opportunities, flexibility, and job security?
Our program equips you with the skills, confidence and job opportunities needed to succeed in trade careers. Here’s your invitation to join the ranks of empowered women who are thriving in trades and join an industry ready to embrace your unique skills.
Why should you consider a career in trades?
Job security
You are entering an in-demand industry with many job opportunities. The trades industry in Australia is experiencing a skills shortage, with a shortage in 47% of occupations in trades and technicians.
The strong demand for trade jobs ensures a stable future, with employers searching for people like you to start a long-lasting career.
Diverse and flexible opportunities
Your unique skills and passions have a place in the trades industry. Trades encompass a wide range of fields, allowing you to find a career that aligns with your interests. Some trades careers also offer flexible work schedules for women seeking work-life balance.
